The end of chemo!

I am finished with chemo! My strength is starting to come back and I am celebrating the end of this phase in the battle. God is faithful and has given me all I have needed and blessed me with more than I could have imagined. I have had wonderful support and have experienced God in deeper ways as I have walked this path.

β€œThe Lord is faithful to all his promises and loving toward all he has made. The Lord upholds all who fall and lifts up all who are bowed down.” Psalm 145:13-14

I still have a few more weeks to regain strength before I have surgery and I plan to enjoy every minute of it!

Today I spent the afternoon with my daughter and her boyfriend at Lake Clementine. It was beautiful and relaxing. Floating on the water looking around at the gorgeous scenery, with the trees beginning to change colors, laughing and telling stories, it was just a lovely day.

Way to go! God is, indeed, a wonderful God! Happy for you and still praying for your complete recovery. During your hardest of times, you have managed to inspire me with your optimistic, trusting faith in God. I feel humbled and grateful to have “shared” your test, in even such a small way! Thank you!

I am so happy that you are done with chemo! What a wonderful feeling as I can only imagine. As I was leading worship at church this morning, I thought of you and the battle you’re going through during one of the songs – “Our God is greater, our God is stronger, God You are higher than any other, our God is HEALER and awesome in power, our God!” Prayers will continue during the wait time and throughout the surgery and recovery. Hugs!

Erin – Wonderful news!! You are an inspiration to Jena, the boys and me…we continue to pray for you everyday. Jena is training for a marathon again after having given up on marathons due to injuries. She runs in November in Santa Barbara and thinks of you all the time…dedicating her effort to you. Thank you for being such an inspiration to her!! We love you and know you will get through this.
